Family is forever

On August 28th I went through the Logan Temple and received my endowments.

The temple grounds are so pretty.

On August 29th my Mom and her husband Denny went through the Logan temple and were sealed for all time and eternity.

Day 2 Bearcreek pack trip

On our way in on day two we spotted this moose. We saw her the first day, but this time she had her calf out in the open where we got to see it.

Whitney did fantastic for her time riding. I saw many smiles like this one and hope we can do this again next year.

On our second day we rode to a hot springs. Outfitters and hunters built a pool with rocks. Boy did it feel good on our saddle soar bodies.

Shania and Whitney really enjoyed the hot pool.

I'm on L and Whitney is on Snip. I love to see my daughter on a horse next to me. I am proud of how well she did on our trip.

Our pack trip

Here is Whitney's first time on a horse. Grandpa put her on Snip.

This is one of the many beautiful views we took in.

On the first day we rode and went to Golden Gate. Wow it was really high up there.

It wouldn't be a trip with my dad if he didn't get in a nap somewhere out on the trail.

Palisades Damn

This summer Whitney and I went on a pack trip with my dad. We went to places around Palisades damn. My brother James drove us up and help us set up camp. Thanks James!

After we set up we decided to go to the damn and skip rocks and swim.

James has always been an excellent rock skipper. I think he holds some kind of insane record for rock skipping. Did I mention he can skip about any shape rock?

WHITNEY IT'S FREEEEEZING!!! Shhhania don't push me in!

Ok once you get in it's not so cold.

The annual Denton campout

Colombine is so pretty. Whit and Courtney always pick it when we go camping.

Finally we got the kids to do some work. Whit and Courtney did the dishes while the adults relaxed.

This is my favorite view to go see while we are camping. This isn't the best picture, but it just feels like the mountains go forever.

Blake is the reason Polaris put out goggles.

He gives a new meaning to the saying "eat my dust"

Blake's favorite holiday

Everyone knows Blake's favorite holiday is the 4th of July because that means their is fireworks involved. Blake has been a pyro lover since he was a very little boy. Blake has been putting on firework shows for our family for the past several years and they just keep getting bigger as he does.

And of course as soon as Blake get's out fireworks the kids crowd around.

Blake loves to light anything that blows up or shoots up.

Run, duck and cover!!!!!

Our families next photographer or model?

Whitney loves our digital camera. Her and Courtney go out and spend hours shooting video and taking pictures. Courtney and Whitney went out for a photo shoot and came back with some great pictures. Here are a couple examples of their work together.
Strike a pose girlfriend.
I love this picture of Courtney.

Will it ever stop raining?

Our area has received record rainfall in the month of June. We have only had 3 days in June without rain. A couple weeks ago we were getting on average an inch a day for about 3 days in a row.

This is my rain measuring duck. We had just finished our 2nd day in a row of getting an inch or more of rain. Someone at work told me Seattle called and wants their rain back since they are going through a small drought right now and my vote is to send it back.
This was one crazy storm. Smithfield which is 20 miles south of us had hail that was just a little bit bigger than marbles. Jeff's parents unfortunately had to replant most of their garden because it was ruined by the hail. There were quite a few people in Smithfield that also had their homes flood because of the amount of rain received in a such short amount of time from this storm. Looks pretty viscous huh?
It's a good thing God gave us his promise to never flood the earth again.

It's a boy!

Whitney has been working really hard for the last 2 years to earn a puppy for her grades. Well here he is. His name is Zorro and he's a cute little baby boy mini dachshund.

His birthday is April 21st. Kate picked him up from a lady in Provo and met us in Ogden for the exchange. Whitney couldn't be happier. He's already pad trained and we are working to get him trained for outside. If it would ever quit raining it would be easier.

Thanks everyone!

Jeff and I want to thank everyone for all of their help in getting Blake raised and graduated. I can't believe our baby is all grown up and graduated. We appreciate all the gifts and help in celebrating this tremendous achievement. Blake is in the process of applying to go to tech school to become a plumber. He may not show much plumber butt, however, the smells that eminate from his body are enough to ruin anyone's sense of smell. I'm not sure Blake can smell anything anymore and will make a great plumber.

Let's get ready to "Partay"

Since Blake wasn't able to invite everyone to his graduation we through him a party. I hope everyone enjoyed the BBQ as much as we did. Everything was excellent from the impromptu water fight down to the home made root beer. Thanks everyone! As part of the decorations I set up a table with all his school stuff. It came out awesome and really displayed all of Blake's accomplishments.
Blake lettered in Golf his senior year. Blake finished in the top three in most of the tournaments we attended. He was one of the school's most stable players. Blake wishes he had tried out for the golf team earlier in his school career. He had a blast.
Two of Blake's most treasured guests were Grandpa and Grandma Great (Denton). They just recently retired from their temple positions and now have Saturdays off so they could attend.
I hope Jeff and I are this cute someday. Aren't they darling?

Whitney's last day of jr high. Celebrate good times come on!

Here's Whitney with some of her best friends. Good lookin group huh?
Mr. Pope was always so lost in thought. Whoa dude, that's deep.
Mrs. Anderson was one of Whit's favorite people at school. They always had a good time together.
When I met Mr. Smith he told me he didn't know what he would do with out Whitney because she was the only sanity he has left. Good luck Mr. Smith.

FOUR!!!

For graduation Jeff and I got Blake some new Nike irons, a new bag and a hat. Here is Blake sporting all his new equipment. Blake likes to walk and wanted this style of bag so he can.Blake's knees just about buckled when he layed his eyes on his new clubs. A tear came to his eye and a huge smile to his face. He almost needed to be treated for shock I think.

Jake and Arile came and helped us with an early celebration over Memorial day weekend.
Blake is already ready learning to lean on his sister. We keep telling him she's going to be one of his best friends some day and he just doesn't know it yet. Who else will he be able to relate to when he is talking about his crazy parents someday?
See Blake siblings make the best friends!
